Get Inspired!

I came across a site that featured those annoying movie trailers, but this time I was intrigued. The trailer playing was for The Soloist. Admirer of classical music I wanted to learn more about the characters in the movie based on a true story. So I looked up Steve Lopez and Nathaniel Ayers and found the columns written by Lopez about Ayers remarkable. I'm going to the library to check out The Soloist: A Lost Dream, an Unlikely Friendship, and the Redemptive Power of Music, written by Steve. Check out the official movie site here and listen to the real Nathaniel Ayers play.

wish list

I was going through my usual daily blog reads when I came across a printing project (courtesy of Style Me Pretty) that entailed using a Gocco Machine! Its a small unique print apparatus that lets you screen multiple prints. I heart them and I really want one! :(

another link with prints you can purchase!

lemonade

Yesterday I had lunch with the girls at a place called Lemonade. It's a small cafe known for the a la carte menus of salads, pasta, and sandwiches and their unique blend of tasty lemonades. I had the peach ginger lemonade that was a little more on the gingerly side but none the less refreshing. With a grade school cafeteria appeal, from the lunch-men servers, trays, and logo one can really reminisce about recess and nap time. :)

Just got a rib cage of laughs on this! Ever wonder what your future baby would look like? Well Volkswagen came out with a campaign featuring there Routan Model car geared for the young parents of today. With that came a lovely creation of the "babymaker". Just upload a photo of you and your partner and presto! Baby! So with out further adieu... I would like you to meet Jack! He looks more like his dad.

Birthday Celebration at Disneyland!

Just got home from Disneyland exhausted from celebrating my birthday! I really do recommend celebrating it there because they really make your day special. Not only to you get in free, you also get a button and every cast member wishes you a happy birthday! My new favorite attraction is the Disney's Animation Academy. It's located in the heart of California Adventures Hollywood Backlot and its where you can "give it a go" at becoming an animator. It's a small classroom were a real Disney animator shows you how to draw a character. Check it out:

Children's Book writer in progress

I found my younger sister's old journals filled with funny short stories half finished. I want to complete one and get it published under her name because it was something she always wanted to do. Hence this post: I've been researching different writers, like Mo Williems. Pigeon wants a Puppy...great book by the way. Check out the rest of his page right here.
